The Sabbath Day Truth
One of the Ten Commandments, which were written in stone by the very finger of God, commands us to remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy. The commandment, as it was written by God, identifies the Sabbath day as the 7th day (Saturday), yet almost the entire Christian world holds Sunday as their Sabbath in place of the 7th day originally hallowed and sanctified by God. The "Sunday-keepers" claim that Sunday replaced the 7th-day Sabbath in the New Testament, but I'll show you without question why this is absolutely, positively, one of the greatest lies that Satan has ever perpetrated on the followers of Christ. I, myself, bought into this lie for years, but a mind that's open to the Truth and a heart that desires to know it will see the light.
In order to see the truth about the 7th-day Sabbath, you must understand the difference between the two laws spoken of in the Bible. Pay close attention to the difference between the two, because one law has been abolished while the other one will stand forever:
GOD’S LAW (THE TEN COMMANDMENTS) | LAW OF MOSES |
Spoken by God directly to the people (Deut. 12, 13). | Spoken by Moses to the people (Ex 24:3). After God spoke the Ten Commandments, the people trembled and were so afraid of God that they asked Moses to be their mediator lest God should speak to them and they would die (Ex. 20:19). |
Also called the “Tablets of the Testimony,” they were written in stone by the very finger of God (Ex. 31:18). The fact that they were written in stone is symbolic of their eternal and unchanging nature. | The law of Moses was written by Moses’ own hand in a book called the “Book of the Covenant” (Ex. 24:4-8; Deut. 31:24-26). The fact that one law was written in stone (the Ten Commandments) and the Law of Moses was written in a book symbolizes that one will stand forever (the Ten Commandments), while the other was only temporary. Hebrews 9:1-10 tells us that the Law of Moses was only temporary – “until the time of reformation” (until Jesus would come and sacrifice Himself once for all). |
Were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant (Ex. 40:20; Heb. 9:4). | Called the “Book of the Law,” it was placed beside the Ark of the Covenant (Deut. 31:24-26). The fact that the Ten Commandments were placed inside the Ark and the “Book of the Law” was placed beside the Ark tells us that these two laws were not the same. |
Please check back soon for more info as I continue to update the site. I will prove to you, using historically documented facts and arguments from Scripture, that the Sabbath was, is, and forever will be the 7th day (Saturday).
