• Death is a sleep.  We are not conscious in death, nor do we have any thought or emotion.  We have no “ghost-like” spirit that goes to a waiting place until the judgment.  We will sleep in the dust until the resurrection.

• There will be two resurrections.  The righteous dead will rise when Christ returns, and the resurrected saints & the living righteous will be given incorruptible, immortal bodies.  They will then ascend into Heaven to live & reign with Christ for 1,000 years.  The living wicked will be slain by the brightness of Jesus’ coming, and there will be no one left alive on earth until the wicked are raised after the 1,000 years is finished.

• Satan is bound for the 1,000 years.  The binding is not physical; rather, Satan is bound in the sense that there is no one left alive to tempt and deceive.  He will behold the fruit of his rebellion and will not repent.

• When the 1,000 years is finished, Jesus will descend onto the Mount of Olives and flatten it.  The New Jerusalem will descend out of Heaven, and the wicked dead will be resurrected.  Satan will deceive the wicked into believing they can conquer the city, and they will surround it.  A great white throne will appear above the city, and fire from God will devour the wicked.

• The wicked will be eternally destroyed and will not spend an eternity burning in Hell.  They (including Satan and his angels) will be burned to ashes.  The fire will go out, and God will recreate the earth.  Sin will not dwell in the New Earth.

• In the New Earth, God will dwell with men.  We will build houses and inhabit them, and we will keep the Sabbath.  The beasts will not hurt nor destroy, and the wolf shall lie down with the lamb.  There will be no more death or sickness, and we will not remember the former things.  There will be children in the New Earth, and we will reign with God for ever.

• In the Bible, the “Lord’s Day” does not refer to Sunday.  It refers to either the 7^th-day Sabbath or the Day of Judgment.

• None of the passages in the New Testament referring to the 1^st day of the week indicate that Sunday was instituted as a day of rest and worship in place of the Sabbath.

• The Sabbath commandment was never changed or abolished.  It remains as binding as the other nine of the Ten Commandments.

• The Ten Commandments are a transcript of God’s character.  As such, they are as unchangeable as He is.

• The Bible speaks of two laws: The law of God and the Law of Moses.  The law of God is the Ten Commandments, and the Law of Moses is the ceremonial laws relating to the priesthood, temple worship, and sacrificial system.  The Law of Moses was abolished by the death of Jesus, but the Ten Commandments remain binding.

• Obedience to the law of God is not a means for salvation; rather, it is the fruit of our salvation.  God’s grace does not make the law void.  On the contrary – it establishes the law.  We must keep God’s commandments or we won’t enter Heaven, but obedience comes through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus and not from a vain attempt to earn our salvation.

• The Old Covenant was based on obedience to the Law.  It was intented to show us that we are insufficient of ourselves to be righteous, and that we need a Savior.  The New Covenant is still based on the law (the Ten Commandments), but obedience comes as a result of our salvation through faith in Jesus instead of being the means for our salvation.

• God still works through prophets.  The gift of prophecy was never taken away, and true prophets exist, including women.

• The book of Daniel prophesied the fall of Babylon by Medo-Persia, Medo-Persia by Greece, and Greece by a power that could only be Rome.  From the Roman Empire would emerge the Anti-Christ, and the Anti-Christ could only be the Papacy based on the descriptions given, including the descriptions given in Revelation.

• Just before Christ’s 2^nd coming, everyone alive on earth will either receive the mark of the beast or the seal of God.  The mark of the beast is not a physical mark on the body nor a “micro-chip” that identifies those who have the mark.  Those who receive the mark of the beast are those who serve the beast through obedience to its doctrines which are contrary to the law of God.  Those who keep God’s commandments will receive the seal of God.  They will be protected through the last plagues and will eventually receive eternal life.

• The book of Daniel pinpointed the year of Jesus’ baptism in 27 AD, His death in 31 AD, and the stoning of Stephen in 34 AD when, thereafter, the nation of Israel was rejected as God’s chosen people, and the Gospel was preached to the Gentiles.

• Daniel pinpoints the year 1844 as the time when Jesus would enter the Holy Place in the Heavenly temple to cleanse it from sin.  The temple in Heaven is the true tabernacle, and the earthly temple was a pattern of the Heavenly.  By understanding the earthly service, the ministry of Jesus in the Heavenly sanctuary can be understood.

• Revelation speaks of “Babylon” as fallen and warns people to leave it so they might not partake of her sins.  “Babylon” refers to a system of false religion which is contrary to the commandments of God, and it includes every Sunday-keeping denomination because they worship the beast (the Roman Catholic Church) by keeping its holy day in place of the Sabbath.

• The Bible reveals that there is only one true church, and characteristics of that church are given so that it can be identified.  God’s true church will:

ü  keep the commandments of God, including the 7^th-day Sabbath.

ü  have the testimony of Jesus which is the spirit of prophecy.

ü  appear and do its visible work after it emerges from the “wilderness” in 1778 AD.

ü  teach the same truths the apostles taught, and all of its teachings will agree with the Bible.

ü  proclaim God’s three end-time messages with a loud voice.

ü  be a world-wide movement.

ü  teach the everlasting Gospel, which is salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

                      People from other churches will hear God’s voice and join His true church, and there shall be one fold.
